Then we’ll have self driving trucks with a driver on board ready to take over when it fails. Then we’ll see platooning where a driver is in the front truck and the following trucks are driven by software. Then truckers will eventually lose their jobs as companies will only want to pay engineers to be the backup driver for these self driving trucks so they can also work on them.
