{"replyTo":"","text":"I'm with maverick. they're pretty good, but not perfect of course. starting pay out of cdl school is 0.54. with your experience you'd get a bit more than that I'd imagine (I'm close to 2 years or and at 0.62). for me the w2 is around 75k.\nits hard work though; loading and unloading most days and flatbed is a hell of a lot tougher more physical, plus split axles are a pain in the azz to get into tight holes.","replyToPid":0}

You won’t make good money with any of these mega carriers because they just don’t get the rates to pay more. So, put your time in and then look for a smaller company or a company that only hauls their own freight. But that 1 year experience is required by many of the insurance companies out there.
