Make it a CHOICE - Not a LAW .

{"text":"How can we make the so called \" LAWMAKERS  \" begin to see that we as truckers knows what's best for us?\n\nThe regulations on us are strict and very demanding.\n\nSeatbelts almost never ever saves the life of a trucker in an accident.  At high rates of speed it is useless and at slow speed crashes it is worthless.  We know what's best.\n\nI am advocating to make seatbelt use for big rig commercial truckers to be a CHOICE and not a LAW.\n\nWe have the power !  We can get things changed in our favour and I believe we could start by flexing our muscles on this seatbelt law which only makes us more uncomfortable during our daily 14 hour shifts.\n\nHow can we start making them hear us on our issues that affects us daily.  We are truckers - we run this Great Country and keep the people fed.  Drop a comment! {"replyTo":"","text":"Twisty, Hail.\n\nVery little energy needs to be put into this to make it a reality.\n\nFirst we need to raise awareness on the matter and that can go viral overnight and then the industry will respond.\n\nI am willing to put in the long hours to make the difference. \n\nMost truckers could do their part by wearing a T-shirt highlighting the issue and by sharing it on different social media platforms.   \n\nWe are living in a technological age where we can correspond and coordinate with the east and west coast in the same moment.  \n\nAfter awareness is raised on the subject, then the trucking community gets onboard by signing a form at change.org !\n\nOnce we have garnered over half a million signatures ( easily a million )on the matter then poof, like magic all seatbelt use for commercial drivers would become an option.\n\nIt is an uncomfortable ever tightening contraption that bruises our necks and rubs out our shoulders and squeezes our abdomens for hours upon hours on a daily basis.\n\nThanks for your comment.\n Twisty.  Much Appreciated .","replyToPid":0}

","text":"There are many concerns indeed.  I am starting with the small stuff to see if we as truckers can all unite around one common problem.\n\nif we achieve changing this worthless seatbelt law then we will be on our way to improving our rates and getting a standard 4 day work week and all the other regulations that plagues our industry and makes us feel uncomfortable and under appreciated.  \n\nLet's change the seatbelt laws for us TRUCKERS  and we will deal with more significant items thereafter. \n\nPeace Chicken!","replyToPid":228715}
